Jo Spencer is a multi-award-winning writer and King’s Honour Consultant who has worked with some of the world’s largest companies, and most talented individuals.
A highly accomplished writer, interviewer and researcher, Jo has worked in the communications industry for 30 years and started her career in Sydney, where she managed large events, before heading to ITV’s head office on London’s South Bank, undertaking a corporate communications role.
In 2006, she launched her own communications agency, helping clients win awards across such diverse industries as construction, property, engineering, healthcare, charity, e-commerce, business, retail, hospitality, and sport. Jo has successfully captured the tone of voice of countless organisations and communicated their key messages to the wider world.
Communication is at the very heart of Jo’s role; a highly experienced marketing professional, she is passionate about telling others’ stories, receiving exceptional feedback from clients. This has enabled her to develop and nurture trust in her client relationships, the majority of whom return to her again and-again; many have found their way to her door solely through word-of-mouth recommendations.
More than a decade ago, Jo started drafting nominations for those wishing to apply for King’s (then Queen’s) Honours and, has since, managed more than 400 high-profile national and international clients from London to New York, and from Monaco to Dubai, interviewing internationally revered business leaders and entrepreneurs, royalty, politicians, Prime Ministers, philanthropists, charity workers, and those at the very top of their chosen fields.
Jo has crafted successful nominations for high-performance individuals seeking national honours (Knighthood, Damehood, CBE, OBE, MBE, BEM), entry into the House of Lords, and has created winning business profiles and Executive CV’s. In particular, she has enjoyed considerable success in the King’s (formerly Queen’s) Award for Enterprise, the UK’s most prestigious business honour, with a 100% success rate in 2025, and has supported countless clients to success across all categories.
Jo has successfully blended her professional activity with philanthropic activity. For more than five years, she was a Board Director at St John’s Hospice in Lancaster. She is a member of Rotary Club, Jumeirah, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), the London Company of Communicators (sitting on their events committee), and the British Chamber of Commerce, Dubai.
